Everyone has seen the images, stories, and news surrounding Haiti. Many have chosen to respond. We are doing just that! Hunger4Haiti is your chance to take action in the face of disaster. Many of SLW's students have already begun contacting friends and family in order to raise awareness and prayer and financial support for those most affected by the January 12th earthquake. If you would like to be involved in Joining the Mission in this way, and have not signed up, simply e-mail Pastor Matt at mirvine@slwchurch.org. Once you have signed up, you will receive a fund-raising packet. Use this to collect funds, then join other students in the Hunger4Haiti process. This includes a 24 hour fast, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30th and ending at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1st. At 6:30 p.m. on Friday the 30th, we will meet as a group to fast together, pray, play games, build care packages (to be sent to Haiti), build and sleep in a tent city, and more. Don't miss this opportunity to impact your world! All it takes is a small amount of sacrifice to make a huge difference.
