Every year SLW holds a summer program for the children of our area. This year we are calling this week-long party
Summer Xtreme - 2010 - Chase the Light. Every year we see kids come and have a blast, and many of them make lasting decisions for Christ during these weeks. (Actually, there is a good chance you have been to one of these week-long experiences). I know that in my own life, these types of experiences were crucial to me spiritually and socially...not to mention a blast! If you haven't already signed up to help with this week, you definitely don't want to miss out. This year we are starting the week (June 21-25) with a carnival-type party to kick things off!
At the end of the week, I will take the incoming 7th graders and get a chance to hang out with them and introduce them to what the next year for them will hold. This is their promotion process into Student Body! They are so stoked, because they get to join you in SLW Student Ministries! What an awesome time for them, and for Student Body, as we receive new friends into our community. The first event they will get to participate in as a member of our group is
Whitewater Rafting (June 30th). What an awesome way to kick things off, huh? Be sure to look out for our newest members and introduce yourself to them and welcome them to our group.
Thank God for the opportunity to hang out with such awesome students and children in our area. Please be in prayer for the week of Summer Xtreme, that God would move in the hearts of our area's young people. Im pumped!
