Am I alone in this or does it seem like Summer '10 is flying by way too fast? We have already said hello and goodbye to a ton of good weather and some awesome times together (Slip 'N Slide, Cedar Point, ALIVE @ the Lake, Summer Xtreme, Whitewater Rafting, and more!). And as much as I'm excited about some stuff coming up, such as Fall Kickoff, The Great Stoneboro Fair!, and fall in general, I am NOT ready for Summer to be over. So, let's look at some things coming down the pike in the Summer we have left. First of all, mark your calendars for August the 18th. We will be attending the Pirates Game that night @ 7:05. We're planning on leaving at 4pm so we have time to tailgate before the game. (tailgating? are you kidding me?! I can't wait.)
Aside from the Pirates Game, we are also starting something that I am pumped about. I asked recently for you to tell me your favorite movie and song. We are going to begin looking at these pieces of art (sometimes...lol) and discussing them. I can't wait to hear your opinions and thoughts, and to learn from you and the artists we take a look at. Please bring some friends and your thinking caps.
Because our large events are so fun, we love to pack a lot of them into our summer schedule. One thing that I personally love, though, is when we have a lull in between large events. This time allows us to slow down a little bit and hang out with each other in a low-key way. Don't get me wrong, I love our events, and they let us hang out with new people, go to new places, and do things we may not otherwise do. But, there is something really cool about getting to kick back over some snacks with close friends. It's times like this that I remember really fondly. That being said...you really don't want to miss our Wednesday nights for the next few weeks. We will get together from 6:30-8pm.
